Bonnie And The Jets Release "Detox" – Retro Soul Rock for a World That Never Logs Off

Bonnie And The Jets are out with "Detox" – a warm and organic soul rock song about the need to turn down the noise, put away your phone, and get back to real conversations.
When the world never logs off
We live in a time where almost everything competes for our attention. Notifications, news, social media and endless scrolling follow us from morning to night. With “Detox,” Bonnie And The Jets’ words and music address the feeling of needing a break – not just from the screen, but also from ego, the pace of the city and the expectation of always being available.
The song is not about escaping from life. It's about getting back to it: to peace, self-care, and real conversations. The message is recognizable, but delivered without pointing fingers. Instead, the band invites the listener into a warm, vibrant soundscape with clear roots in 60s and 70s soul and rock.
"I think many people will recognize themselves in this song – and maybe even feel that they need it," says vocalist Caroline "Bonnie" Bonnet.

Vintage soul rock with a modern nerve
Bonnie And The Jets have established an expression where soul, blues and classic rock meet in an organic and modern soundscape. "Detox" is carried by expressive vocals, electric guitars, warm keys, lively percussion and strings.
Lise Sørensen's violin and viola add warmth and cinematic depth to the song, while Martin Windstad's percussion adds to the loose, groovy pulse. The result feels both timeless and relevant – like an old favorite you happen to hear for the very first time.
First glimpse of third album
"Detox" was written by Dagfin Hjorth Hovind and Caroline Bonnet. Hovind also produced the song, which was mixed by Eiliv Sagrusten and mastered by Steve Kitch. The recording was done at Lekerommet Studio in Oslo, with drums and bass recorded at Velvet Recording in Spydeberg.
Since their debut single in 2021, Bonnie And The Jets have developed a distinct and authentic soul rock identity. The band received a Best Song award from the UK's Radio WigWam in 2023, have played in the UK and performed at Dark Season Blues in Svalbard.
The new single also provides the first glimpse into the final chapter of the band's planned album trilogy. Bonnie And The Jets are currently working on their third album.
