Witchhammer is a Norwegian heavy metal band forged in 1986 — dazzling thrash aggression, melodic precision, and dark storytelling inspired by history, myth, and fire. Their debut 1487 (1990) became a cult classic, rooted in the spirit of the underground metal scene.

Over four decades, Witchhammer has remained true to its vision: raw, authentic, and unapologetically heavy. With releases like The Lost Tapes (2001) and the concept album Chapter 3: In Serenity and Awe (2011), the band continues to fuse heavy riffs and haunting melodies with lyrical depth.
