Herodes Falsk is one of the most prominent and influential figures in Norwegian popular culture. For over 50 years, he has left his indelible mark on humor, music, television and the performing arts – often simultaneously, always uncompromisingly.
He is perhaps best known as one of the founders of Prima Vera, together with Tom Mathisen, a trio (with Jahn Teigen) that forever changed Norwegian humor and satire. Herodes is also behind the lyrics to many of Jahn Teigen's greatest and most beloved songs, and has written over 450 songs, published 14 books, created TV series and been behind a number of sold-out stage productions.
From absurd humor and musical madness to razor-sharp social satire and merciless self-irony – Herodes Falsk has always gone his own way. The result is cult status, a loyal audience and a career that is unparalleled in Norway.
Today he still stands on stage with the same drive, curiosity and ferocity as ever – only with even more to tell, and even less filter.
